    Default Tail bone pain

So im hoping someone can shed some light on this as i have seen a Doctor and my Chiropractor about it.
Over 4 months ago, probably more i caught a skate edge and fell hard on my tail bone. It hurt a lot, but i played the game. It was definetely sore for a week or so after, but seemed to go away. Now for the last couple of months its always quite sore after i play. Sore to sit on or touch. When i went to the Doctor he pressed right on the tail bone and it hurt quite a bit. He recommended i get an X-ray. However i have to agree with my Chiropractor in that how could it still be broken?
I certainly isnt debilitating, but at some point i would assume i would have to stop playing for it to go away. I dont want it to come to that so if anyone has had this, or knows what else it could be i could use some advice.
    Thanks

I'd go see a good manual/soft-tissue therapist. Look around for a Rolfer or a Myoskeletal technique trained practitioner. Possibly a very good sports massage person might be able to help out the ligaments attached to the coccyx and tailbone. It's probably not broken but might be tweaked off in one direction and the ligaments are now holding it in that position.

Ouch! I can't offer any medical advice here, but I do know these injuries can be serious and persistent for a number of reasons. A friend of mine was discharged from the Marines for a broken tailbone. I agree with Badgerit. See a specialist.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get a x-ray. About 5 years ago I fell down a flight of stairs ( yes on my arse) I ended up having a badly bruised coccyx, it took a year to heal :-(.
