Default quad muscle injury I'm assuming?

since I played on Sunday, I've been having what is becoming a bit more painful day by day at the front of my leg probably halfway between my knee and my inner thigh. It's frustrating as it's fairly painful if I've been sitting down for awhile and I sit up and start walking but if I've walked for 5 or 10 minutes it feels fine. I have to play a game on Saturday and since my league has a roster limit it's me in net or one of the guys who doesn't play goal because our regular backup will be in San Fransisco for the next 10 days. Any tips on what I can do to maybe rehab this a bit between now and Saturday?

I often alternate ice and heat for an hour or so. Gets the blood flowing through and cleans out the affected area. I also keep lightly stretching the sore area.

Also depends on when the pain occurs.....does it hurt to touch? Or just when moving? Sounds like once the muscle is warmed up it goes away. I would cold/heat cycle on it, and if it is muscular, rub on some analgesic - my preferred is Tiger Balm.

been icing and heating up the area tonight and hopefully that keeps it going as it's more so when I'm moving and initially I thought my leg was just sore because I hadn't played in 3 weeks but it's been 4 days since it happened. So I'm hoping it gets better tomorrow and I'm good for Saturdays game.

Sounds like you just strained the muscle, like working out. It's always worse two and three days after the injury. I'm betting it feels a little better when you're reading this. Does it feel good to massage it? Good pain as I like to call it?

I'm hoping you're ok for your game.

Feels better after icing and heating it up last night for a few hours, and I'll do the same tonight and maybe before the game tomorrow. No pain when I massage it so that's good has loosened up doing heat and cold and massaging it at work has helped alot.
    Thanks for the advice.
