Since you weren't diagnosed with a headache, I would still be cautious with raising your blood pressure with exercise. If you do strenuous activity and the headache returns, you should stop immediately. Although you were told by a doctor you don't have a concussion, the headache still proves that something occurred to your head. I got a concussion from getting run into and it took 2 weeks for me to finally be able to exercise/play without a headache. Slap shots to the helmet hurt if you don't have a pro helmet (like me). Just be cautious!

The helmet I was using was a Bauer NME 5. I've gotten shots to the helmet before but only have just shocked me, this was the first one that actually hurt.
    THAT is your first problem

I've taken many shots to the head, including a couple last night, but I'm extremely happy with my Hackva helmet and haven't had any pain or headaches after a shot. I'd highly recommend looking into one of those before you play next.

I took a shot squarely between the eyes while wearing my Hackva... No harm, no foul. Everybody on the ice gasped, I was just "what? oh that, no big." Didn't really notice any ear ring.

I had one of those in warm up when I first got my Hackva. A beer-leaguer slap shot from the high slot, even. It pushed my head back, and I heard it, but I didn't feel it at all. So I didn't react, just went for the next one. The guy who was running the ice time was right there, and he said "Holy, you're tougher than all the #$%%ies I usually play with."

Little did he know the mask helped me out a lot on that one.

I've got a Pro-Masque, taken some shots directly into the head, and barely felt them. Pretty hard shots too. Spend the bucks for some good protection on your squash. I'd rather save money on pads or gloves than my C/A or my brain bucket.

my pro-masque is getting a little old. Planning on getting a Hackva later this year. Gonna keep the Pro as a back up.
