I got hit today at a pickup hockey game with a pretty hard slap shot from the point square in the cage and I went down, I got a instant headache but after a few minutes I shook it off and we started playing again, less than 5 minutes later slap shot from the face off circle right off my helmet made my already exciting headache worse. I called it a game and went home right after that.
It's been 5hrs later, I've taken some meds and it still throbs. Does anyone think this is anything to worry about? I think the emphasis on concussions in all sports lately is making me over worry about it but I've never had a concussion to know what a mild one would feel like
GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? What if you could not wake up from that dream, how would you tell the difference between the real world and the dream?
Do what None said. That and don't sleep. Unless you're a gambler, in which case go to a substance abuse meeting.
Go to the Doctor!!! Headache and dizziness are signs of a concussion!!
I've had 4 concussions (3 from hockey, 1 from skateboarding) and this doesn't sound good. Go get checked out by a doctor.
Absolutely - get it checked out. headache - ehh. dizziness and ringing in ears - definitely not good.
Your melon is nothing to screw around with. GO TO THE DOCTOR. It could be nothing but it's better safe than sorry.

What helmet were you using?
So no concussion, I didn't have any other symptoms other than a headache. Which I still have a slight one,but it's almost gone away completely.
The helmet I was using was a Bauer NME 5. I've gotten shots to the helmet before but only have just shocked me, this was the first one that actually hurt.
I would suggest upgrading that helmet to NME9, or you may face this type of problem or worse in the future.
