  1. Who is that guy?

    by , 02-29-2012 at 06:01 PM
Wow, I'd have to say it's been almost a year since I actually came online and made an effort at participating in the goalie community. Why is this? Well...as my other blog posts indicate, I had to leave Alberta to open a store for a well known company in Canada but what isn't clearly posted is how that fell apart. After waiting for several months, nothing ever materialized and I parted ways with that company. I don't think to this day they've actually opened a store in the US. Perhaps one of ...

  2. Just a Thought

Being a goalie coach, I would love to help other goalies out if they have any questions. Anyone reading this blog can feel free to leave a comment, or leave me a message on my wall with questions they have regarding either on-ice issues, or off-ice training, and I'd love to help.

  3. Offseason Training Day 2

by , 02-29-2012 at 05:14 PM (Road to Tryouts)
Today was a great day. Being how tired and stiff I was from yesterdays workout, I didn't feel like going to school. Well lucky me. I woke up at 8:30 this morning (school starts at 9:00) and found out buses were cancelled. Although I don't take a bus to school, I still could take one if I wanted to; technically making me a bus student. So I stayed home, got some homework done, and just relaxed.
I went to my off ice training class again, at 4:30 as usual. There were only 3 other kids there ...
  4. My Off Season Training Day 1

by , 02-28-2012 at 06:54 PM (Road to Tryouts)
Today I started off-season training to get myself in shape for Junior tryouts in a few months. I'm going to classes geared specifically for athletes, and working on a variety of different activities. With today being my first day, I wasn't sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. The first 15 minutes were dedicated to stretching, with lots of groin, hamstring, and hip flexor stretches (yes!), as well as a ten minute dynamic warm-up. There were only 10 kids in the class, so the instruction ...
  5. The joy of being on a team

    by , 02-21-2012 at 06:17 PM
Hehe, I very nearly created a thread in the forums, and then I stopped myself realizing it wasn't really the appropriate place. However, I could barely contain my excitement! Then I discovered this blog feature and I thought, "Hey - this is perfect." The way I see it, I can write to my heart's content, and everyone can read or ignore to their heart's content, lol.

So my hockey 'story' begins back in the 1990s when I was 13 or 14. I'd always liked road hockey, playing ...
