My Motivational Speech to Myself

This year will be different.
This year, we're going to win the championship, whether it kills me or not. This year, even if my defense is the problem, I'm making it my problem. Saves that I "should've had" will be had. Shots that no one has any business saving, I will have.
This year, concentration and focus are my friends, not my enemies. A whole new fitness level, both body and mind, will be attained. I will not be fatigued; I will not hang my head in shame; I will not look up at the rafters in disbelief; Mistakes will not be made.
This year, I am one with the puck and the net; we will not be distinguishable. I am going on a roaring, raging rampage of epic proportions in my quest for hockey supremacy.
I am stepping up my game; my mask will be feared.
This year will be different.
