As usual, my team lost another game (currently 0-10) with two more games left before playoffs. Not sure how playoffs work yet, whether it's only the top teams or if all teams get put into the playoff bracket. But regardless, here are some of the highlights of my game last night:

Lately I've been playing around with a different glove style. Before, I kept my glove closer to my pad and fingers pointing to the side, but it just felt like I'm constantly getting beat there and my arm feels slow reacting to top-corner shots. I decided to switch it up. I'm trying the fingers pointed up method with my arm raised up to cover the corner, and reacting to lower shots by dropping my arm down to get them. But something weird happened after switching styles...I'm seeing a dramatic drop ...

I had two games this week, one on Monday and one earlier this evening. Both resulted in losses for my team, but the way we lost was very different. I consider the one on Monday an absolute beating and very demoralizing, but the one on Tuesday was a solid game and fun (for me anyway lol).

I don't want to dwell too much on the Monday game, but suffice to say it was horrible. As usual, we only had 1 sub while the other team had a full roster. This team we faced was in an entirely different ...

First things first, my team showed up for tonight's game (yay), though as usual we only had 1 sub. We lost 8-3, and I think it's mostly because of the lack of players on our team. The score was 5-3 at the mid-way point, so we were still in it. However, our guys were looking very tired and were constantly getting beat by the other team when chasing after the ball. That resulted in the ball on our side most of the night and lots of scoring opportunities for them. I think I played reasonable that game ...

Played my first ever tournament as a goalie Saturday. What a blast! Great time with some really great people on all teams. We were called "The EH team", and it was a mixed tournament with some quirky rules. So, here's the breakdown!

Game 1: Weird rule for this game was only GIRLS were allowed to score. As a goalie, this made the game incredibly easy, as I only had to track the female players in our zone. The guys could do whatever, but none ever shot as any goals wouldn't ...
