For over 30 years Alain Beaudry, owner and director of Passau Hockey, has worked in the field of goalie equipment design and manufacture. Over the years his company has collaborated with several distributors and consequently, with a number of accomplished professional goalies. Features

15 degree to the interior foot section of the pad. This angle brings the skate blade lower and closer to the ice during lateral pushes and eliminates the hip discomfort or injury caused by the foot being twisted upwards.
Uniquely designed knee lock, stiffer helping solve the dreaded bvfly.
Completely customizable options including, colour, flexibility (both internal, and external breaks), pre-curve, boot section angle, width, size, and strapping options.

Construction 8/10

These pads are constructed very well, made with top notch materials. The innovation of some of the features really sets this pad, glove, and blocker apart from other brands. With the choices of materials, these pads will last a long time, and shouldn't show signs of wear very quickly.

Protection 9/10

The protection level of these pads is supreme. The pro level foams, and padding used on the internals of these pads give you all the protection needed from that 6 ounce vulcanized rubber disc, and the behemoths firing them at you as hard as they can. You can choose protection levels in the palm of the glove, if you need that little extra stinger proof padding. Blocker is more than enough protection needed, it's very comfortable.

Design 9/10

The look of of the Passau set is great, I've already had many people comment on how cool they look. The vintage look of the pads, the waffle in the blocker, and the customizable colour choices makes for a great design. The unique design features like the boot strap, pinky/thumb straps, and stiff knee lock really give it that extra little bit.
