Instead of a cage, Tornado Proton (a mask brand made in Switzerland by Alec Voggel I think) is going bold with a visor.

I do not understand how this will work properly. Scratching, Fogging, etc Not to mention the amount of money it will take to get tested in North America.

True. But it is an interesting starting concept. I don't think they will ending up using Lexan like used in a dangler. Probably the same stuff as a visor for a skater

They can't use lexan, or the same product used as a visor. Not strong enough for the type of force of shots that hit goalies in the mask. It would never get approved.

it would be way too hot, the cage lets out alot of air. that would hold in every breath and it would be so hot it would be hard to breathe.

Good point. I guess they will need to add some air holes in the visor or something of that sort.

I'm also not sure if I would trust this visor YET. If it gets approved, then maybe I'll consider it. Also gonna be a lot cheaper then buying a new cage if anything happens to an old one. Though, you would probably have to replace the visor more often then the cage.
