I just received this from www.thegoaliecrease.com through ebay, at a great price of $352!
When I first put it on I'm reminded how bad a new chest protector feels. Stiff and not really worked in right out of the shoot. I also noticed the big open arm pit area if my arms are not fully forward (they should be at all times during play anyways), but I'm a little nervous I could get caught on a quick play or something and not be facing the shot.
The thing is a tank, I don't think I'll be getting hurt in warm-ups any more, and I'm so happy to be back in to the Reebok line with the amazing elbow cups. They're so protective, and I'll never have a swollen elbow again.
This is my third chest protector in 3 years, my first was the 6K RBK Green & Black Senior version. It wasn't protective enough for the level of shots I was facing. So I decided to upgrade to the RX9 Pro. That turned out to not be protective enough as well, I hardly consider the RX9 a pro chesty, too many stingers in the arms and tips shoulders. This one has some superior High density foam, they feel ridiculously hard and dense. I'm sure my days of arm and shoulder stingers are over.
I'll give a review of this product in the next month or so once it is broken in.

How is the protection on the backside of the forearm? I had to seriously modify my Vaughn Velocity 7000 on my blocker side with a lacrosse pad inside the backside of the forearm section.
Thanks buds...looks much beefier than my older Vaughn unit. I will have to check them as well as the V4 out down the road. This RBK piece looks very nice though.
Man, I thought I was the only one to ghetto-ify my chest protector. I had used some foam karate sparring gloves to cut up and sew in the arms and shoulders of my McMillan Vic chest protector for extra protection.
care to share some of the inside tips...... I know one but not sure how effective or how to do it lol where you loosen the lacing on the Blocker padding thumb side to give an extra inch of coverage....
