Vaughn Vision 9500 Senior Blocker
Features:
The new B 9400 Vision blocker is an all new design that incorporates unique construction with the side shield integral to the front blocking surface. This gives the glove increased rigidity and stiffens the perimeter edge for superior blocking and increases the protection to the inside edge of the hand. Special high density foam board provides light weight and is reinforced with a polyethylene overlay for added durability. Pro design finger protectors cover the index finger when extended over the paddle of the stick for increased coverage. The side shield features a narrow design slot for the paddle of the stick and closes gaps to prevent pucks from sliding up the paddle of the goal stick and impacting the hand. Wide cuff opening allows for maximum wrist movements.
- High density internal blocking board for light weight
- Tapered board end for less ice interference
- Reduced perimeter weight for balance and control
- Adjustable wrist strap
- Pro design finger protection
- Ergonomically designed palm with mesh gusset construction
- Large top flare
- Large side shield

The sharp angular lines appears very Bauer Supreme One100-ish.
That's what I thought when Itech first posted a picture of the new Visions because you couldn't see the Vaughn tag very well. I thought for sure they misbadged the picture when they posted it. Come to find out, Vaughn really did steal Bauer's graphics. Wait till EVL hears about this one.
I dont mind the graphics but the way that it is put together just bugs me. I don't care for the laces running through the front and the side wall of the blocker and the side wall does look akward. It would look better on a V4 blocker IMO.
I think they need that lacing to be there to hold materials in place since it's a bindingless-front design. I don't know exactly how it's put together.
I like the Sherwood T100 PL33 design. It's bindingless-front, big blocky side pad with minimal lacing, and they've closed it off with all the main lacing in the top back section.

Vaughn finally steps into the 21st century, only to crap it up with the laces all over the friggin' thing. Looks ridiculous with the laces.
