Brians are good pads for sure, just dont get the G Series entry level pads. They are very mediocore indeed. Have never tried Bauer, though would like to try the One100's

I wore my friend's Bauers for part of a season, but they were the older kind, so I'm not sure about their newer pads.

I got Bauer One80s back in May, and with playing 3-4 times a week, they have held up quite well. They finally don't squeak when I walk. I've twice had them air out in the driveway, and I open the window in the room I store my stuff in as often as possible. I also read somewhere to store them upside down, and I lean them against the wall sitting on the top. I haven't seen any degrading of the materials yet, though it's only been 4 months. :)
