where is your stick during all of this... if its in the right place you can use ur stick over relying on your padsI gave up a five hole goal the other night and felt that the puck actually went under the thigh rise. I was happy with my butterfly and had it locked up (flush to the ice) early. I don't typically have an issue with my five hole but it was bugging me. Tonight was my first time on the ice and in warmup I got in my butterfly and slid a puck into my pad starting at the knee. I kept sliding the puck into the pad working my way towards the top of the pad. At about three inches from the top of my thigh rise the puck went right under the pad on both legs. I manipulated my straps and adjusted my butterfly from narrow to wide. I had little success getting the pads closer to the ice. I'm pretty sure this is what the original poster was referring too. I wear a 37" RBK 8K and have worn them for five seasons. They are well worn but in good condition. I am unsure of the reason for this problem and havn't noticed it in the past. I am leaning towards the age of the pad and the possibilty that the top of the thigh rise is not as firm/strong as it originally was. Needless to say I am obsessing over my compromised butterfly.
