    I have both.

    RBK 9k
    Plus :
    Replaceable blades
    Stiff boot

    Cons :
    Not very comfortable
The pump will die after somes years

    Graf 750
    Plus :
    VERY comfortable

    Cons :
The cowling is a crap. Without overdrive blade, you will have a lot of slippeage with your butterfly push.
The cowling is also very heavy. It's a heavy skates but the problem is the cowling, not the boot.

The RBK win the battle just because the cowling of the Graf is not good. But, the boot of the Graf is a lot more comfortable.

I love my 9ks. I wore those grafs for a bit a couple years ago and the effed up my feet pretty bad.

9ks all the way, very soft and flexibile.

I would vote for the Reebok myself, the cowling is by far the best available. Graf is a good boot if you have really wide feet, and are supposed be really comfortable.

Being able to replace the steel is the main factor to me. I had a graf cowling on my Bauer's after they cracked. I couldn't stand them, sold them as soon as I could.

Couple of notes, the Graf boot is significantly stiffer, because unlike the Reebok, it does not rely on the cowling for structural support. Also, I was checking out the new graf cowling on friday at the distributor's warehouse. As soon as the 2012 skates are on the shelf, they will have a removable blade and are much lighter than the previous generations. I also disagree that the rbk cowling is the best, I have them on my Graf boots now and I am quite unhappy with them. My suggestions would be to wait for the new Crags and go with those, far and away the best skate. There is a reason 48% of pro goalies wear Graf.

Dont have the luxury of waiting or the money to buy new. the ones I am looking at are older model and on sale for $299 compared with the Graf G50's at $499 etc

comes down to money, and for the above skates and price range the 9K seems to be the better choice.... I think

The Graf G50 and 750 is almost the same skates. I tried both and don't see many difference.

I have the RBK boot without cowling in my hand and the boot is really stiff, it not rely on the cowling at all. In fact, the RBK boot is stiffer than the Graf.

BTW, the weight of the boot is impressive. Probably 200-300 grams

Sorry Seb, but I have to disagree, there are quite a few differences between the G50 and 750, mostly in the shape of the back of the boot. I have also had both boots in hand without cowling, and thought the Graf was stiffer. Though both are relatively stiff and incredibly light boots.

I have to ask, have you looked at the Bauer One series at all? I believe one of the skates falls into your price range, and everything I have heard and seen has been incredibly positive.
