A few upgrades on the 7800 will include:

    - Upper rib cage triangular padding is now all HD foam, instead of HD foam surrounded by a binding. This just extends the HD foam out an extra 1/4" or so.
    - Shoulder floaters are slightly wider at the top outside shoulder location. They are also now made of nylon instead of the mesh material.
    - new side wing pad cover the buckles on the side to help keep them from breaking.

Reebok 11K has great protection, but it is very tall and stocky. Blocking style guys who like the pad to take up as much net as possible love this pad. Hybrid style guys who want more mobility tend to shy away from it. These tend to run a little long on the belly pad compared to other c/a's of like sizes, so keep that in mind if you choose this one.

Brian's Pro Stock is bulky feeling as well, even though the shoulder floaters are somewhat small. Neck opening fits tighter than most, chest, arm and elbow padding are great.

Vaughn 9500 is a really protective, mobile pad. Shoulder floaters are large, but not bulky and they allow for good movement. Triple padding on shoulders, Large HD foam blocks on belly. Here's a video of that pad which may help give you a better idea of how it looks:

    Hope that helps.
I have the 9k reebok and I love it, its a tad big but it works for me. Couldn't add any more to the above post.

Well I bought a new one last night. I ended up with a Vaughn 9500; my local Pro Shop had one in stock and had a 20% off sale going as well. I really wanted the black one, but a $100 cheaper I can settle with white.

I used it last night; and I can’t wait till it breaks in and loosens up like my 5500. A couple things I noticed:
    - Rib pads pushed my elbows out a little more
    - The Shoulder floaters made me feel wider, more squared up.
