    Default Weigh your leg pads

Another thread talked about Total Hockey weighing their gear. Never weighed my previous leg pads. So, I thought I would weigh my current ones. They are Vaughn 8606 in 32"+1". They weigh 11 lbs. for both or 5.5 lbs. each.

13 lbs for my completely dry late 90s 33" Heaton Helite IIIs. 6.5 lbs each for the arithmatically challenged. I'll have to weigh them after my next game to see how much water they pick up.

Last year I weighed all my gear (again, completely dry). Added about 42 lbs to my weight. Still, much better than the old deer hair stuffed pads, where it added 50+ to me.

My measurement was not super exact. I weighed myself on a digital bathroom scale. Then, I weighed myself holding my pads. Did some simple subtraction.

    34 + 1.5" Rituals weigh 5.44 lbs each. I'm curious to see what your 38 + 12's weigh.
