I've been thinking about picking up a used (probably very used with my budget) pair of Reeboks just see see if I'd like that style of pad. I figure if I don't like them, I can just flip them after a few skates. Currently I'm in 34 +1 Velocity's and have the opportunity to try a friends 33 +1 7k Revokes. Obviously the quality is not that of the Pro Revokes or Premier pads but is the fit about the same? Would I actually get a general idea of the fit and feel of a Premier Series/Revoke pad by trying the 7ks?

For the most part, yes. The sizing would be about the same. In terms of functionality of the pads, you won't get a true sense of how Reebok's perform. The high end Reebok gear is a lot stiffer, puts off harder rebounds and just has harder foams throughout. The lower end gear might ease the "night and day" transition of the brands, but won't give you a great sense of what Reebok offers.

I'm down in Southern CT (Shelton), so a little far from you.
Glacier, I'm not sure I'd even get a chance to take the 7ks on the ice so it was really more from a sizing standpoint. I could probably just go to Wesco or Pure Hockey and try on a pair. I just hate wasting sales peoples time when I know I'm not going to make a purchase from them.
I sorta figure there will be a lot of P3s hitting the used market as soon as the P4s become widely available.
