For the chesty just remove the arms and toss the chest in the washer on delicate followed by the arms afterwards, oh and use cold water on the washing machine. You can put them in the dryer afterwards also on delicate too. As for the pads are you trying to remove puck marks or trying to remove stink? Puck marks are easy enough, magic erasers work great. As for keeping the stink down in my pads I use odoban on mine.

Yea, then the washing machine is the waay to go. I used liquid Tide without bleach when I washed my chesty in the machine. I ran it two cycles for the chest and the arms. Mine smelled horrible and that fixed it up. I had always been worried about doing and decided that it was worth the risk. Turned out awesome and my chesty smelled fantastic. As for the back of the pads, the squirt bottle of Oxy Clean is fine for jenpro. I just take a really wet rag to where I put the Oxy Clean to make sure I get it all cleaned out.

Don't use the washing machine. Fill your tub with warm water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol and laundry soap. Wash your gear gently by hand. Transport each piece to a place to hang dry. I know in this fast paced society everyone wants a quick solution. Your gear costs a lot and means even more to you. Do it correctly. You can wash anll your equipment this way especially the leg pads. You'll be amazed by all the dirt and junk in your tub after you drain it. For your Jersey Warm Water, Soap and plenty of Vinegar will take the puck marks out.

I've used the washing maching for my chesty as well without any issues. I have always done it with a front loading washing machine though, and it doesn't use a whole lot of water, so you're chesty isn't sitting there soaking for the whole time it's in there, which is a plus for sure. I've done this with both my chesty and my pants - do so probably about once every couple of months, and it's always worked like a dream.

As for the leg pads, I can't really comment on that - I've always had pads with a black backing, so really haven't ever noticed whether or not things have gotten dirty.

The filth that accumulates on your pads has nothing to do with color. When you put them on the floor of the locker room they pick up crazy junk. You haven't noticed cuz you haven't cleaned them in a way to see what comes off in the end. Pads wouldn't even fit in a washing machine without bending them to heck anyway. Trust me a tub, warm water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol and laundry soap. Soak them and shake the around with your hands for a while. One at a time. Hang Dry. The bottom of the tub become very dirty.

I don't doubt for a second that the pads pick up all kinds of things. All I was saying is that I never gave a thought to make an attempt to clean my leg pads. I never made reference to attempting to put them in a washing machine anyway - would never even consider that. All I said is that I've used the washing machine with my chesty and pants, and have had tremendous success with it.
