What stick were you using before the Messiah? Also, are the curves the same on both your old and new sticks?
This is a discussion on Composite Stick Shooting within the Equipment Chat forums, part of the The Gear category; So, due to "low stock" I had to buy a AutoLinks by http://www.autolinker.com ', BGCOLOR, '#DDDDDD', BORDERCOLOR, '#3399CC', BORDERWIDTH, '1', ...
So, due to "low stock" I had to buy aWarrior Messiah instead of theWarrior Swagger
I have only played 4 games with the new stick, but I can't seem to "naturally" raise the puck like I used to with the old stick.
I have been able to shoot the puck from my net, over the boards at the blueline (once in a game for a penalty of course)
I know there are threads for different styles of shooting the puck, so I am not needing a review on them lol, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem where they swtich from wood to composite and they have issues moving the puck.

I was using the swagger before
Both sticks have the emery curve
I definitely notice a difference. When I switched from composite to wood I couldn't shoot very well and still flub the odd one. It's hard to switch when you get used to something even if they are the same curve!
If this makes sense, I am passing harder, but just cant seem to raise puck it with an consistency. I think it will come with time. Another point to make, I use a right handed stick whenever I play out. The obvious answer is that I have to practice with the new twig. I was just hoping it would have been a bit more seamless transition.
Not being familiar with the swagger stick, does it have more flex than the messiah? Have used that one, and still have it in the shop, and don't recall any issues with picking the puck up when I wanted to.

I think the swagger has a much thicker paddle, which may cause a difference in flex. I currently use a Messiah as well, switched from RBK 7k, not having much of a problem. just keep practicing.
