Anyone with experience switching from Vaughn to Reebok or vice versa?

Vaughn makes a great pad. I tried p3s a few times, as well one100s. I didn't like them because of how stiff the boot was. I also felt like because the pad sits away from the shin/ankle that I couldn't move right. V4s are for sure stiffer then v3s, and v5s have a stiffer inner edge so they'll also be slightly stiffer and will seal the ice better. Also adding a single break, or getting 7900/7990s pads will be a stiffer option. They won't settle, just break in a bit. P4s will also be slightly softer then p3s.

Just try them on, and see what feels best.

thats quite the uninformed post. whats the point of your post? you dont explain any of your concerns, mike vaughn has been a leader in gear manufacturing for quite some time im pretrty sure they are mostly remembered for domination in the 1990s.

pretty sure their technology is par with the time, i dont see you making pads. its easy to criticize but back it up with some sort of information.

if the velocity is such a terrible design how come its going on 12+ years its been the standard in the business.

as for your "oh so and so is wearing it, so it must be cool!" "debate" - its not about who wears what because nhl players get custom gear, tim thomas for example was wearing "v4" but they were modified by chris piku

i switched from vaughn vaults to reebok p2s a year ago and i still regret it.the rbks just dont feel right and i loved how rebounds would just be stopped dead by the vaughns instead of being kicked out for a rebound by the reeboks. i guess its just preference in the end
