    Post Best dangler with a Hackva mask?

    Does anybody else wear a danger with there Hackva that fits well? I have tried a few types and it doesn't seem to fit very well. Are danglers just kind of uncomfortable normally or should i keep looking for a better type?

    Thanks.

    I hate danglers. They are not comfortable what so ever and I couldn't find anything that worked well with my Hackva. I think it is a necessary evil though. Wear it for safety, not comfort.

    If your chesty comes up high enough your fine without one, I've played for goal since I was 11 and I'm 29 now and only ever hit once, I did out one on this year just cause im now a dad and for some reason thought I should. Still when I butterfly chesty seals up under my chin it's the advantage of tuckin it in your pants. Just remember to tuck your chin on the suspect shots!!! If you can't react fast enough to do it your probably playing in a league over your head anyway

    Finding out the hard way isn't really something I'd suggest. It only takes one bad break really. This really is a safety first piece of equipment Hanran, I would love to know if you find one that's better for a hackva as mine should be here soon.

    Not exactly sure what you mean.
    There's only one type of Hackva.

    The only good dangler is sitting on the shelf at the store where it belongs. Those things are the absolute worst!
    By the way, watched a Junior B goalie take a puck to the throat with his dangler on. Don't know how that happened, but it happens a lot more than you think. I took more pucks to the neck with a dangler than I have in the higher levels without a dangler! They give a false sense of security, they are annoying clankity clankity clank clank can't ever see my damn feet.
    Danglers = waste of money!!

    Oh, but anyways I heard somewhere that the best dangler is the n17 or the n18...because of its length or something.

    But you're right, danglers are just uncomfortable.

    I have a bauer n17 on my hackva and it's not that helpful; tbh it's only on there because my mom wants it there. I think I have more than enough coverage with my chesty, the chin on the hackva, and my neck guard.

    I think it's the shape of the hackva that causes the problem though...

    Id say a dangler is like the same as wearing a visor as a player, you can play your whole career and not take a stick in the face put a visor on and that game take one in the face. Back to the goalie part, I play in super low level beer leagues, to div 1 beer league and sr. A in the winter and I get hit in the head a crap tonne more in the lower divs, those meatball just don't know how to shoot the puck, they trip over their feet crossing the blue line and the some load their stick wether its Intential or there just using it as a cane, but those damn composites let the rip one off with no sense of direction of where it's gonna end up!!!
