I wore Cooper goalie knee pads. I think that Bauer still makes them under their label. Basically, a one piece foam unit wrapped in a stretchy fabric and strapped to your legs with two elastic straps and velcro closure. I wore them under the hockey socks. I usually taped them to keep them in place. It protected the lower section of the thigh and the knees.

Got a question. I have Reebok knee pads, but they keep sliding out of position. What can I do to keep my knee pads in place, or should I just scrap them and get a new pair?

I'm so happy with my bauer pants with the built in knee protection, since i got them only one time was it even remotely close to causing pain.

You can get a girdle I believe.

Take a good look at the PAW system. Bill reviewed it recently, check out his opinions.

    Hey,

I took a shot of the knee last saturday because the thigh risers moved. After playing a few times since then, i just tuck the riser underneath the pant leg. After a few minutes I dont notice it at all

The knee protection from PAW is very good as is the unit from THR. The THR version can be laced into either your pads or pants, depending on your preference.
