Take it in to a good hockey shop, and get them to use waxed skate laces. It's a much better pocket.

I recently bought a used RBK Premier III trapper and blocker. Some of the lacing in the trapper is frayed pretty badly and i want to relace parts of it. Does anyone know where i can buy the lacing cord or even what it really is?
I play hockey because I love the game. I am a goalie because i have all the mental deficiencies that the position requires!

Its not the pocket thats the problem but the lacing that actually holds the glove together. I assume its just a woven nylon cord but im not sure. The worst part is there isnt a hockey shop closer than 300 miles and the closest real hardware store is 100 miles. Needless to say i do most of my shopping online.

I think you can use boot laces.

I agree with Itech. Depending on what level you're playing at, have it done professionally. You dont want your mitt/trapper to fall apart.
Little hint: if it is not against the rules where you play, have them lace into the webbing vertical laces on top of the criss-crossing horizontal laces
hey use lacrosse sidewall string, check out jimalax.com i order all of my lacrosse mesh and stringing supplies from them and they always hook you up with extra stuff. plus its way cheap.
Nothing worth doing is ever easy.
