You need to do some groin stretches via Revconditioning, check her forum and find the exercises to help with widening that butterfly.

Goalie5, I have a set of 36" DX2's. I came from V2's. The DX2's are AMAZING. There are a couple of things that you may need to get used to though. There is an "airpac" on the inner calf of the pad. This is a Brian's signature design, but with the DX2's, they are sewn in. So, before you say you don't like them, and cut them out of your pads, give them a chance. I've noticed a HUGE difference in my stand up from butterfly, because I believe the "airpac" isolates the muscle better to spring you up.

As for the other information. Yes, they were Brian's top of the line pads for about 4 years or so. The last year they made these pads were in '08, as they dropped the line in '09. They are now replaced with the Focus line.

$500.00 is still a STEAL for these pads. They are a pro level pad, so how can you beat that for the price?

These pads are extremely light, and extremely durable. My pads have been through a lot, and have only needed 1 repair.

I do have to warn you though. If you want pads like RBK's that form a huge "S" curve, these are not the pads for you. Here's what my S curve looks like, and these are well broken in:

Overall, after playing with these, I am a life long Brian's customer. They are easily the best fit for me in a pad.

Keep in mind, the Dx2s came in two variants. Dx2 which was the 'senior' model and Dx2 Pro which was obviously the pro model.

My blocker is a Dx2 senior. It's similar but not quite as high quality as the Dx2 Pro variant.
