RBK 8K Glove and Blocker Review

Hey guys recieved these from Goalie Monkey in January. Since I've been using them for a month now, figured I'd give a review.

RBK 8K Blocker - 9/10

Top view - Great Blocker love the curve on it and its not flat to the ice which makes it great for paddle down blocks as I have found.


Side view - its got 5 finger protection which is great, I've taken pucks and sticks especially since i've started playing with it and haven't felt it thru the protection, only problem I have is the extra thumb protection sits right on your stick so it took a few games to get used to.


Palm view - Great palm. Last blocker palm was full leather. This one is the leather mix and its got mesh in the middle which gives great breathability to your fingers and I find my hand getting less sweaty and not making the glove stiffen.


RBK 8K Glove - 10/10

Top view - Great strap downs and pulls the glove tight. Very good protection even when someone hacks at your glove on a cover.


Inside Top view - Three straps inside, great placement, the wrist is a slide nylon strap, the upper hand is a leather velcro strap as is the finger strap. The inside is mesh so it definatly allows your hand to breath great. As I have smaller hands the inside fits my hand great and keeps it tight.


Glove Front view - Fairly deep glove, I like the design of the pocket, traps very well. On the ice I haven't had any problems with pop outs, it sits flush to the ice which is fantastic. The break in time was about 2 weeks at three games a week, which was fast considering.


Overall I'd say its a great set for a rec goalie, haven't had any problems so far and I'm loving it.

Yeah mine has bent upwards a bit and sits better at the angle I hold my stick. Still enjoying them so its been great.
