I love this equipment. I'm coming off RBK X PULSE PRO SPEC PRO pads and RBK X10 sticks. The pads are a dream to wear. Total leg contact in the calf shin area but rotation is fantastic. Can't say enough about the fit and comfort of these pads. They are just a few ounces heavier than the RBK pads but honestly I can't feel the difference. Because of the close fit they actually feel lighter. 5 hole coverage is fantastic. I'm 53 years old and don't flex like a 20 year old and they sure make up for that.

The pads I got have the adjustable knee cradle sewn in but they fit perfectly so not a problem. The stitching can be removed if I want. The finish is the weave which I wasn't sure of at first but I'm really liking it now. So easy to clean. I was able to score them new on Ebay for $900.00 with the tags still attached and they are worth every penny.

Now for the stick. I bought the X60 about 10 months ago and I'm still using the same stick!! The finish on the paddle is very hard and will chip but it doesn't affect the performance at all. It is very light and the extra gripping is very beneficial. I won't hesitate to buy another one of these as they pay for themselves. Hope this helps anyone who might be on the fence for this equipment. It is worth it.

I'm 52 and I know what you mean about that 5 hole! I've been thinking about ordering the RX10 Vintage that Goalie Monkey is selling.

If I saw correctly, yours are 35+2? How tall are you? I was in their NJ store recently but didn't have time to try some on with skates and pants, so I'm not sure about the size. 35+2 seemed to cross over too much, 36+1 seemed better, but I guess I really should do a proper fitting if I'm going to spend the money on a special order. How did you decide on your size?

Thanks, your comments push me closer to making the purchase!

Nothing wrong with a little cross over. :)

Ditto on the nothing wrong with crossover. I'm 5-11. I went to Total Hockey with my gear and tried them on for size. I'll bet that cross over you are concerned about will disappear once you have all your stuff on. These are great pads and I would not hesitate to buy another pair.

Thanks, I'm sure you're right about that. I'm the same height so what you say makes sense.

I am trying to decide on what pads to buy. I am now between the Reebok Larceny or the Bauer Rx 10's. How do the Rx 10's slide?

You change your mind 10 times a week though.

Still loving this gear. Wouldn't go to anything else after a year of playing in it. I did have to get a new stick though after going down to my right side and landing with the knob of the stick on a defenders leg. It snapped the handle right at the paddle.

Absolutly! These pads are still like new. The RBK Pro pads I had before these were showing wear after only a month. Aside from the puck marks they are like the day I got them.
