    Protection

The protection level on this Chesty feels like it is right out of the NHL. There are no sections that I can tell where I wished there was more padding.

Arm protection is made up of HD Foams, Plastic plates, and a hardend plastic molded elbow cup covered The ribs have excellent protection and I also opted for the extra rib padding for the just incase.

    Mobilty
This chesty is the one to beat!! Other brands should take note of the excellent workmanship thats been put into this piece. The mobility and Protection ratio is bang on. With most other companies you are caught in the middle of deciding between the 2 aspects, not with this chesty your not. It has a perfect fit around the belly, and does not feel constricting or suffocating in any way.

The strapping setup around the ribs is awesome, with this design it allows you to get a very quick and precise fit, wither it be in the dressing room or on the ice.

As Itech stated in his review....
The shoulder/back strapping is very interesting; basically completely adjustable. Even can adjust the floaters to a desired position using quick Velcro attachments (see pic below and Itech's review). You just undo all of the straps, place the chest protector on your shoulders, let it fall in to place naturally and re-affix the Velcro and everything will be in proper position on your chest. I've never had this ease of use on any chest protector I've worn in the past.

With my previous chest unit I would tie my pants through the front of the loops to secure it in place, although generally this would cause the rib protection to get caught and would tuck itself under leaving my sides wide open until i fixed it.

With this unit I cant see me having this issue. I tied it up and jumped around in various positions and not once did it bunch or catch!

The other part I really like is the clip strap on the back plate that allows me to fasten my pants at the back to my chesty, thus securing everything even further. I may how ever double up the pants belt strap with some hockey tape to give it more strength.

And of course some what's a piece of equipmment with out some personalization!

Nice, ballpark price? did you have to ask for the back strap to hook to the pants or was that a stock feature?

It took 3 weeks for me to get an entire set from Passau. If it was a chesty I'd say 2? But it's best to ask Hugo the lead times as of today.

Jim - It was a stock feature on the chesty, at first I was trying to think what it was for.... then suddenly.... lightbulb.... lol solves my issue of pants falling down.

DaHo - I skyped on Sat, it was built and sent out the following Monday, and then 1 week in Postal delivery so all in all just over 2 weeks.

Werk - YESSSSS get yourself one of these!! you'll love it!

I once made a save and got knocked over in the process. I was a little shaken so i got up on one knee with my side facing the play. Well the guy at the point wasnt paying attention and took a wrister hitting me in the ribs. Kind of my fault more than his. Hurt like hell!
