    Default Bauer Wheeled Goalie Bag

    Bauer Wheeled Goalie Bag-bauer-wheel.jpg
    Bauer Wheeled Senior Goalie Bag:

    FOR:
    • Large capacity for holding a FULL set of adult goalie equipment and still having space to spare
    • Vented areas throughout the bag to help air flow circulate through the bag
    • 4 external Pockets include: skate pocket on either side, 2x top pockets with one being a split for glove and blocker
    • 2 handle heights for pulling
    • light weight

    AGAINST:
    • 2 wheels cause the middle of the bag to drag
    • handles are not durable enough to support weight of bag when full
    • stitching is poor quality and tears too easy
    • When skates are in skate pockets bag is too wide to fit through most door ways and vehicles.
    • Quality of materials are very low grade and rip too easily

    Overall: 5/10

Here are pictures of my bag after roughly 15x of use. I am not rough on my gear, and I take good care of what I own. As you can see from the pictures below, the stitching has come away from the wheeled end due to low quality material used and not being strong enough to handle the weight when the bag is full. Also you can see the holes that have been created from putting the skates in the skate pockets on the side. I had since stopped using these to prevent further damage.

I have taken this back to my local store and has been sent off under warranty. Hopefully it will be replaced by a better quality item, as I do not want this same bag again.

ya your telling me, I was reading reviews from other store sites about this bag, and everyone has the same problems, but the time line varies from my 15x use, 6 months to a year.

My Bauer player bag has piles of duct tape holding it together. It was only $99, but still, they shouldn't rip wide open like that. I wear mostly Bauer gear as a player, and it's great, but their bags leave a lot to be desired.

Vaughn wasn't an option as my store doesnt deal with them very much, plus the Vaughn bags were alot more expensive obviously a better quality, but at time I couldnt afford to splash out

I bought a Vaughn wheeled bag a few years ago when I started going to Vegas for an annual tournament, and had to have all my gear in one bag. I only paid $169 for my Vaughn bag, and considering it's been thrown around and abused by airline staff/equipment, plus the abuse of cramming it into the backseat of my Mustang for 4 years, I'd say it was worth every penny. There's some fraying now, and a couple of holes that have worn through where my skates go, but I'm more than pleased with it.

    Just my two cents...

    Cool DIY Wheeled Goalie Bag

I got tired of carrying my bag so I built a wheeled sled from a couple of broken Christian sticks. Best part is when I upgraded to a Vaughn bag it was like $50 since I didn't need wheels. I get all kinds of kudos on this one...
