A protechsport mask is my vote. Since getting mine i can never go for a non custom again. The comfort is superb and i havent had any issues with the sightline and ive been wearing mine since june and i have had 1 ringer that lasted less than 5 seconds, and ive been able to play wuith some ex ohl, nhl and juniour players and she has been great for everything plus its low pricetag sold me on it. The only thing is since its custom theres a wait so if you need a mask right now your in a tough spot but if you can hold out for over a month (not sure of his exact waittime right now, mine was 4 weeks but ive seen it as low as 2 weeks)

The vision portion of the mask is dependent upon the thickness of the padding and the use of a chin cup. It makes sense that the thinner the padding the better your potential vision would be. No?

I owned the Vaughn 7500 (identical to the 7700 with 1 difference, only has 1 thick layer of padding vs. 2 thin layers) and I got injured by it. Currently playing with a Hackva. It's like wearing a bowling ball on your head (this is good), the con is the cage is very thick therefore cuts down on the visibility. You can always change the cage, right now I'm sold on Hackva.

We sell a TON of those masks, and they rarely, if ever, crack after a season. FYI.

Regarding vision I would recommend something With a large opening. I have an eddy ck, Promasque, nme9, Stacey and a Bauer 961. All cat eyes

Out of all of them the bauers have the smallest face opening. Fit will be the most important question wih regards to sight lines and safety. Hackva has never fit me properly

I have a Bauer NME7, tons of pucks to it, no damage and I'm two seasons in. One season I think would still be in the warranty period too, unless I'm mistaken. I've loved mine, I have a big head too, no problems with sight lines.

    Default Stick with The Wall

I would stick with the Wall mask. If you think you need something with a bit more chin than the pro active, check out the W-10 (all Kevlar) and or the W-6 composite. I think you can get the W-10 at Stu Gould's website. I don't think the big guys have it yet!

I just got my Hackva, it is one solid mofo. Lotta folks say they're heavy, but it is definitely lighter than my Itech Profile. I didn't notice a difference in the cage, but that was in the store. The plus for the NME7 is the flat bar cage for vision, but they dent pretty easy.
