    Default Where to buy Jen-Pro?

I'm looking at a project to add some knee blocks and sliding surface to a pair of pads my daughter's team has. They're older DR pads, and they have a small knee stack, but no landing block or sliding surface. My daughter is at the point where she is learning the b-fly slides, but it's real hard to balance on just the inside of the pad. So I was thinking of whipping up some knee and calf blocks so she can slide in them.

I'm guessing the inside is just high density foam like the rest of the pad, which I understand can be purchased at a sports physio store. But I have no idea where to buy jen-pro.....I'm guessing it isn't something I can grab at home depot or fabricland. What type of store would carry this?

You know, I've tried looking this up... and all I can find are goalie websites talking about it. Makes me think "Jenpro" as we know it isn't "real," but it's called something else outside of the goalie equipment industry.

I found a website (Performance) that sells some material often mentioned in goalie equipment manufacturing, but nothing about the elusive Jenpro.

Materials, links and where to find them.

Your going to look for LD 45 for knee stacks/block. HD for the knee wing. 80-110-115 is what is used.

I'm wondering if I could use a foam roll, cut the small pieces I need out of one? It's stiff, but allows just a little "give" so it's not like landing on a cement floor.

The oddest thing about the pads is there is a knee stack, there is just no block to land and slide on.

Contact Sara at PAW (Protective Athletic Wear). I bought a small amount of white jenpro from her in the past.

JenPro is still around. It's really difficult to find - I looked for a long time. I got mine from a small shop in Ottawa called BK Sports.

Good options for others to refer to now. I went and got my daughter some used Reebok pads. :)

I'm pretty sure PAW sells JenPro, and if you're only looking for small pieces, I think they will send JenPro scraps for free or discounted.
