NHL 11: Goalie Gear with Gurn - Bauer

Hey guys, it’s Gurn again and I’m back this week to talk about…you guessed it, goalie equipment in NHL 11. Seeing as I dabbled into the technical aspects last week, this week I wanted to take a little bit of time and answer a question or two about the equipment. After scanning through the questions I took a couple that will appeal to majority of the community (don’t be offended if I didn’t choose your question, I hope to get to as many as I can before the series of blogs are complete). With that said, let’s get to it.
Q: Gurn, I’m excited about the certified cages being used for the CHL, but is any effort being made to match CHL goalies with their pads?
A: Yes, we will be making efforts via roster updates to get the CHL goalies up to date as well as the European league goalies throughout the year.
Q: Will we finally be able to change the color of the brand logo by using the color pallet, or is it still a choice between only black or white?
A: Yes, we have finally given the user the ability to color logos just like the other color zones.
So with all that taken care of, let us get to the good stuff and talk about this week’s poll winner Bauer. Bauer has five sets in the game, which are:
• One100
• Reflex 10
• Rx9 (updated to support more zones)
• X:60 (updated to support more zones)
• One95 (updated to support more zones)
Henrik Lundqvist in his nice one100 set
Henrik Lundqvist in his new one100 set (which will be available in the first roster update)
Calgary Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff in his Reflex 10’s
Because there are no NHL goalies wearing this pad anymore, I had to take a screenshot of my pro in his newly updated RX9 set.
2009 Vezina winner Tim Thomas in his X:60’s
