well probably a good time to start giving updates on current season! we are 3-2 in the bottom div at my local arena. planet ice in coquitlam bc.

last night was game 5 of the 18 game season. brass bonanza v eecol penguins

we were short guys with a 10 man bench, down our top 3 players. the game started out very even. we scored a greasy one at the front of their net early but they capitalized on a breakaway, getting a beauty wrister by me high blocker side. penalties were non existent this game so it was a little chippy. winding down the 2nd period they had a point shot i was set up for, and my d man made a beauty tip 5 hole on me! doh! so, down 1 my team made a great push in the early 3rd when the penguins came out flat. 3 great chances and still no goal! the penguins got a rush back our way and my d hustled back and made a great check on the guy. i had knocked the net off on the play and was replacing it when they banked one in off my skate! another ugly one! i was choked at myself at this point and kind of glad play was mostly in their end. we ended up netting one late in the 3rd and they sealed it with the empty netter. needless to say im looking forward to our next meeting, i want redemption!
