I like the original barred cage, it's probably because I'm soo used to it. Although to be fair, I have only tried on the cat-eye mask because my league wouldn't allow me to wear the full cat-eye even if I wanted too![]()

I dont know about you guys but what cage do you prefer the most. I wear a cat-eye mask and its easier to see through but I also like the original barred cage. Any thoughts?

Cat-eye for sure, I like the better peripheral vision. The Cert-Cat-Eye I haven't tried so I wouldn't know on that.

I use the full pro cat eye despite the rumor they are banned in MAHA and USA Hockey but no ref has said a word. they dont even check these rules anyway

Okay, I play in Northern Ontario in a girls league and they are pretty strict, plus not very many people use the cat eye mask so it would be obvious if I was wearing one![]()
I would have a cat-eye..But it would look terrible with my helmet.
Haha my helmet is just black too, although I might get it painted this summer if I have the money![]()
I have to wear a certified cage for hockey (CARHA rules), and a ringette cage* for ringette. I really don't care. After a couple of minutes the bars are invisible to me.

I have been lucky enough to be able to use any cage I want in my inline league ( they have rules but for some reason they dont enforce the goalie gear ) and most helmets in Australia sold have cats eye cages on them. I prefer the cat eye due to sight line issues I had with the "normal" cage and seem to be able to see the puck better
