I wanted to share a story of one of my goaltenders with everyone. Every young goaltender I coach eventually gets this story conveyed to them.
I have a goaltender that I work with; I'll call him "Jim" (for this story). "Jim" was a tremendous goaltender in Minor Midget AAA as a (91 birth year). I didn't know "Jim" back then but I did get to watch him play a little.
He went un-drafted in the OHL Priority Selection, and played Midget AAA the following
It's been too long since I last posted in here, for those that actually read my blog I apologize.
I had a very long and trying two week period of AAA tryouts with both my own team to run as well as I was hired by several other teams to evaluate their goaltenders in camp. I was also called by several coaches and asked to place goalie into their program. It was stressful to say the least.

His skating ability has gotten to a AAA level after spending the better part of the last year performing repetitive movement drills during our sessions. He has grown into
Well we won a Bronze Medal At the 99 AAA OMHA's. Considering where our team started in August a Medal at the OMHA's was very satisfying.
We started our #1 goalie for the first two games. Allow he played very well we lost 3-1 to Brampton and 3-2 to the eventual Champions the Quinte Red Devils.
We decided to make a change in net to try and shake up the slow start our team had. Our #2 goalie is no regular #2 goalie. He would probably be in the top 4 of our AAA league. The
