I wasn't sure how this season was going to start. It had been a long time since we had played the Albino Crackers (weird name I know). Our team happens to know one of the players on the other team, Mike McLean. He's a great guy, but on the ice he's a terror. Usually hitting everything he sees, and generally causing a ruckas. After the game I thought about it, I didn't notice Mike out there once. Usually he's always
So I'm going to blog my entire season to the best of my ability. We had a real trying Summer season in the ASHL, to which we only won 3 games out of 14 regular season games, and won 0 playoff games. We're back in the division this winter which last winter produced 18-9-0-1. Hopefully that winning trend will continue. We've upgraded the team a bit, I've got a lot more experience under my belt, and I will be able to
They say losing builds character, well if that's the truth then I'm the most interesting man in the world. This summer we went 3-10-1. The worst season of hockey I've played in, ever. As the team manager, and the goalie it was very hard on my psyche.
We've got one last game on Monday against the #1 seed as we're the #8 seed, and if it's anything like the last game we're done like thanks giving day turkey.
The winter season is only a few weeks away, and a few tweaks on
I think the ASHL is the worst league I have played in for one reason; the referees. They have the most unprofessional, power tripping, biased, refereeing out of any of the leagues I have played in. My team tends to play on the edge, and we take a fair number of penalties. We understand that, but it has become some sort of game for the refs now. Calling the most unbelievable penalties, and not calling some blatant ones ever. I'm not just talking about my team, it's on any team playing the game. Missed
I let in 10 goals. I let in 10 goals. How could I let in 10 goals? I think the only thing I can think of was the 4 weeks off higher division hockey, and playing with the lower crappy tim bits players in the mean time. I couldn't stop a beach ball tonight. It was like I was Dan Cloutier in the playoffs against the Red Wings. Absolutely brutal.
The team in front didn't play very well either, but 10 freaking goals? I should hang up the pads. lol.
