I dont think it had anything to do with being scared or anything like that. I think it was a protest against a crappy system that creats boring hockey!

The trap has been around for a long time, and has been beaten before. I have no idea why everyone is making a big deal about. I'm pretty sure they showed a clip of Jagr breaking the trap pretty much by himself with a simple give and go. Since this is not a new defense, philly is to blame. Traps can be beaten but they simply didn't even attempt to. Tampa won the game so you can't really say much about their choice.

Protest???? What are they gonna create Occupy Hockey Rinks? I mean seriously, it's hockey not political or social activism. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time, if ever. If you can't find a way past it, you're done in sports, something crazy is always going to come at you because everyone is looking for an edge. I sure as hell dont, i think its a disgrace to the game. I dont think they did it thinking they were going to change the rules or anything like that. I thought it was cheeky, if your going to sit there like a dumb dumb and wait for me to do something, than im going to sit and wait for you. If nothing else its got people talking about it.
I'd rather watch trap hockey, than no hockey, that was no hockey. If a professional team can't figure a way to get the puck past that defense, why doesn't everyone do it? That's craziness to say if you don't come get me, I'll just take my puck and hang out over here and pout.

Again it was never meant to be something permanent and i dont think we will ever see it again. I thought it was cheeky and it did exatly what was itended, which was to get people talking.
I agree with the talking part. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, I don't want to see a like shot clock or some craziness added because it starts happening a lot.
