Bucky Gleason is writing on what he'd do if he were the GM of the Sabres more than reporting what the Sabres are actually thinking.
There have been a lot of Miller rumors (the one with the most legs being that he wants a trade to SoCal to be closer to his actress wife) that have been shot down by the team and Miller himself.
Personally, I'd be stunned if he were traded. In part because Sabres GM Darcy Regier overvalues his players and I doubt too many teams would give up the big haul that Regier would want.
Outside of his Vezina+Silver Medal/Olympic MVP season, Miller has not been worth the $6+M per year he counts against the cap.
