Howard Knob Save 11/20/11

That is such a unique feeling after saves like that, it's a combination of "holy crap that was close/lucky" and "that's right, I'm awesome like that!" Needless to say, I've had that feeling more often than I'd like to admit!

Ive actually made quite a few saves off my knob and the shaft of my stick.

That's exactly how I feel. But then again I feel that same way on some glove saves, as well. I think some of them are proper glove placement where the puck was hit into it, and other are truly me making a great save.

Most glove saves were a result of good glove positioning!

I know, but it still feels like I got lucky. That and I'm pretty sure I'm not always in the best of positions. So, when I am it feels that much cooler.

We should think of a different word or phrase for these "saves". Save to me seems to imply you had the intention of doing it. Maybe this "Howard Knob Act of God!" which would have to be an exclamation.

Shooters always get so mad when I make save off of the shaft/knob, love it!!

Any puck that doesnt go in the net is a save!
