This is a discussion on Bobrovsky!!! within the NHL Video Highlights forums, part of the The Goalie Crease category; I just love how enthusiastic the SportsCentre guy was with saying "Bobrovsky!" :)...

Look at 1:05 and forward. At the face-off dot, the shooter still has a defenseman on him. I would have set up just like Bobrovsky in a regular stance to the right side of the crease. The shooter has outskated the defenseman but starts running out of real estate. He's also going too fast to cut across the crease. Bobrovsky moves back a bit, goes into the VH on the right post. Anyone taught that? I've only read about going into VH when the puck carrier is at a sharp angle to the goal.
I guess I would have dropped in the butterfly.

Caveman, I would've gone butterfly, as well, and I admittedly have been beat a few times on the near post for doing that.
