Ya I get what you're saying about the explosiveness. Right now I'm going to hold back on the sprints because to be honest, I can barely walk I'm so sore from this program.
I don't think skipping the long distance running is going to effect anything. This is a new team getting started and I don't even think players that were recruited from out of the area got this program because I had had to go to him and ask for it.
As long as I'm in good enough shape where I'm not dying or heaving over at the start of off ice this season I'll be happy(:
