A disgace to the game really.
I think it looks hilarious. Much better than ****ing Slapshot. I'm sorry but I've tried watching Slapshot like five times and the movie ****ing sucks. Funny how it seems to be every hockey player's favorite movie, yet they can only quote like three parts of it. Look, those three parts are funny. But those three parts are surrounded by two hours of absolute ****. I'd rather sit through The Mighty Ducks than sit all the way through Slapshot.
I feel the same way about slapshot, only really the first 30 minutes is good.
Oh man i thought it was just me. I couldnt sit through it either.
I thought it was a generational thing why I didn't think it was funny. So, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I hope this "Goon" movie bombs, I fully agree with Werknone's "It's a disgrace" comment. We'll have all kinds of people up in arms "Hockey is such a violent sport! Why should we let our kids watch people fighting? Why would anybody play a sport like this?" And all that other BS that people say about a sport they don't understand or have even seen the real aspects of the game.
That being said... I might Netflix it, because I know the real hockey, and I have a soft spot for REALLY crappy movies (i.e. Biodome. HAHA!)
I love the Ducks movies! lol Youngblood is still my fav hockey movie. Will see what this Goon is all about when I get a comp with sound.

In terms of hockey movies, I have to admit that the "Mighty Ducks" movies are a guilty pleasure for me :) That being said, I much prefer watching hockey documentaries rather than Hollywood-style hockey movies.
did anyone ever watch the movie "the CHiefs"
Its an actual hockey team in Quebec, who play in a fighting League with the occasional hockey play breaking out

This movie looks awful. Even if you're an enforcer, you have to at least be able to skate, shoot and pass. Whoever wrote this movie is beyond dumb.
I never saw Slapshot. I watched Youngblood which was a pretty good movie.
Love Guru. Had some ice hockey. Total waste of time and money.
Mighty Ducks... it's a family movie.
