When I make a glove save I try to keep my glove in the exact position it's in when I catch the puck for a few reasons. One, to make sure I don't have extra moving parts if I need to look for a rebound (sill being new at goalie I have a hard time telling still sometimes). And B, what looks more cool? waving round like you got lucky it went into your glove or leaving it right where you wanted it to be? Like Danielson! He hardly moves after he catches the fly.
Besides, I'm not sure I'd be able to bounce back from pulling a Roy type incident.
I love the video (the original shootout one). We went to a shootout in 3 of my last 4 games, winning two of them. I had two sick saves like at the :19 and 1:43 mark. Of course, the glove save wouldn't have needed to be spectacular if I hadn't gone for the initial deke the shooter made. Still, I'll take it.
