Any advice for a "hybrid" goalie?

I've found a "coach" so to speak to work with. A teammate from beer league coaches a beginners class for skaters, and her husband has agreed to come and give me some pointers. The guy's as talkative as a block of wood, but he knows his stuff. Get half a sheet of ice all to myself for about 45 minutes, then play in net for the skaters when they scrimmage. The price is right at free, so I take what I can get. Also some of the high school players at the pick up games like to test me. They pull their cutesie little Crosby moves right into the paint, so I've been getting better at poke checking, lol.
