what strap setup do you have DTWyoming (all below the knee, two at the knee or split strappping)? also what kinds break do you have, if any? it all depends really on flexibility/break/looseness of the straps, if you could provide me with that information along with the height of the pad i could give you a strap setup to try, i have P3's as well and i know some people who i play drop in puck with that have the same problem with those pads that i helped fix.

what strap setup do you have DTWyoming (all below the knee, two at the knee or split strappping) All below the knee, I'm going to attach some pictures for more input. One picture on strapping, one on my 'V' problem. Can butterfly now!-img_20111221_154442.jpg

also what kinds break do you have, if any? I don't know, is there any way to tell on the pad? Flexing them would tell me they have limited flex.

    height of the pad 35+2

ItechWarrior mentioned to try them on in the living room, thinking that my pants could have something to do with it, I'm going to try later tonight.

hm thats odd, they don't even lay flat when your not in them.

see if u can press the calf landing pad down a little, or maybe when your wearing them keep the lower straps around ur calf alittle lighter and thatll rotate the top of the pad. i've never seen that before.

maybe around the 3rd closest hole to the end (tight wise not loose) or as tight as you can comfortably put it. like itech said try them on with your bottoms and play around with stapping, its like fitting a chesty, i'm sure playing around with them on a solution will pop up eventually

I have Simmons 995s and used to play in P1s. Practically the same. Here are my suggestions...
    1. My ankle strap (closest to the bottom, but not the boot strap) is really the only one that is remotely "snug". If I push the pad up against my shin, I have about 3 fingers worth of space.
    2. All other straps are there only to keep the elastic in my knee cradles and thigh guards from stretching out. VERY loose. Almost just for show.
    3. If you have any straps above the knee, keep them SUPER loose. Their real purpose is to pull the top of the pad around the knee, but end up creating a more drastic V-fly most of the time.
