Rochester NY "Watch the Puck Clinic" July 27-30

When : Friday July 27 – Sunday July 30

Where : The historic Skating Institute of Rochester (Rochester NY)

Cost is $170 for 11 hours of ice time.

Who : Any goalie, age 14 or older, who wants to improve their game

Instruction provided by : Yona Fioravanti, who always puts together a quality staff. Yona is one of the most requested instructors in Rochester, has coached at the University of Michigan (2006-7), and has instructed a number of times in Finland (in the image Yona is working with Nik Backstrom).


Yona will be returning as head instructor and founder of Watch the Puck Clinic. Yona has also worked with Makymum Goaltending since the inception of the program. In that time he has developed many of the top goaltenders in Rochester area Yona was an emergency replacement goaltender for the Rochester Americans of the A.H.L. in 1996. His perfectionist style and soft spoken demeanor makes his coaching style very effective in addition to his immediate 'connection' to students. Also a recognized graphic Artist, Yona’s top notch mask designs can be seen on some of the finest goalies in pro hockey, his most famous design being that of Mike Richter and the Rangers 'Third' jerseys and Dominic Roussel of the Flyers.

This year's clinic will be on July 27 to 29. At the Rochester, NY @ Skating Institute of Rochester. Please note that you will only be put on the list after you have paid Yona. CLINIC SCHEDULE
Friday July 27th 2012:
4:30pm-7:00pm 2.5 hour of open ice. Used for Questions, discussing theory.
Three stations (half-ice) for those that have not attended in the past or are new to the position.
We will breakdown footwork and recovery.

Saturday July 28th 2012:
8:00am-9:00am - show up to rink and check in, get suited up
9:00am-12:30pm (noon) - first ice session-resurface ice half way through
12:30pm (noon) - 3:30pm - change out of gear, cool downs,

Wegman's and Perani's Hockey World Lunch Saturday 1:00 to 2:30
Equipment reps During 2:30 to 3:00
I will have some Promasques and some other Equipment to talk about there.

3:30pm-6:30pm - 2nd ice session-resurface ice half way through
6:00pm-7:00pm - change out of gear and cool downs
7:00pm - Brief for next day and cut loose to do whatever everyone wants to do.

10:00am-1:00pm - 3rd ice session-resurface ice half way through
