Ice itself is not as popular as other sports but there is a healthy league in Western Australia. We also have a national league which is probably the equivilent of junior A in Canada . There is only 3 ice rinks in Perth but there is 12 plus teams . Ice Hockey Western Australia is the website for the Perth Metro League and www.theaihl.com is the site for the National league . Roller is less popular then Ice with only 4 clubs and the majority of the players are ice players just looking for a little bit more playing time.

I no longer play Inline due to issues with the governing body of the sport in Australia and am now focused on Ice only . I still do keep up with the roller scene but until the Governing body changes its mind about a very stupid and outdated rule which forbids anyone playing with a cats eye mask or a mask with any graphics on it then I shall decide not to bother with the game
