I meant traditional glove placement. My stance is actually fingers-up with my hands very far forward because I like to use active hands.

Well, I'm partially converted.
I was having some trouble stopping pucks over my glove side when the shooter was in close, too close for me to be able to react in time. That and when I was screened. So I started using fingers up in those situations and it's working quite well! However, when the shooter is in the high slot or at the point or top of the circles, I still use regular glove position with the glove down low.
Fingers up was uncomfortable with my old (worked in) glove, even though the wrist strap couldn't be cranked down. But now with my new glove that has a crankable wrist strap (And I crank it all the way because my chestie arms push the glove off my hand otherwise), fingers up is actually comfortable. Almost seems backwards...but heck it works great! Now I just have to work on top shelf blocker side![]()
Your chesty is a tad too big I'm assuming. Once it's completely broken in (chesty & glove), you'll notice that you won't need to crank it down.
