Pete Smith & Co designed Ritual gloves will be out in 2014. The Ritual Custom PRO glove is based on a Fortress platform (wth a few changes), but the Custom SE is totally different. The SE is more like a Vaughn 5500 than anything else, though it places your hand/wrist in a slightly "cocked forward" position. I've tried both of them on and I still can't figure out which one I like best. The hand position and closure of the PRO feels more natural to me, but the pocket design of the Custom SE is so wide and deep that I think I might like it better over time? They're both really nice - you won't be disappointed in either one.

I second that!
Can anybody shed some info on what made the Smith designed gloves so special/different than other gloves out there? I've heard a lot of people asking about when the Smith designed Warrior ones will be coming out, but I'm curious as to what the old SP6000 (?) gloves would have been like as a comparison point.
i got ritual custom pro's as some of you may have seen, and now i have a hankerin for the gloves. i like the one piece gloves with a 60 degree break. which glove should i get? pro or SE
are they any good i heard alot of people didnt like the old ones
What are you looking for in a Glove..... What are the plus / minus of each glove....
These are the type of Questions you should be asking instead. Asking the Question 'if they are any good' is not very accurate or helpful for your decision, as everyone's opinion will vary depending on the style each goalie likes.

The reason why Warrior went out and got Pete Smith & company was to make their product Stronger and increase their share of the Goalie market. They recognized what they needed in order to make their product better. I was looking at buying Smith Equipment a couple of years back.
The fact that since Smith moved over and brought his expertise with him. People are now talking more about the Warrior goaltending product.
When they first came out with goalie gear I have to admit I was ya right another glove/ stick manufacturer lol I was always surprised Easton never joined in the market.
Honestly, I didn't like Warriors first run stuff it just wasn't for me (Messiah who were you kidding... lol seriously).
The New stuff though will be better designed and overall 100% better. I might even start considering it if I'm looking for new gear. Warrior has now entered the conversation
